I spent a quiet day with my family for my birthday. After being gone for the past four days, it was a wonderful gift. The kids each presented me with presents funded with their own money. Kelsey and Drew appealed to my sweet tooth and gave me favorite candy. Erin gave me two pieces of pottery she worked on in art class this spring.
I opened cards from family and friends...and read the more than 100 birthday wishes that arrived via Facebook. It was a perfect way to spend the first full day back with my family.
